Pictures!

Been a busy weekend with my Auntie Lisa visiting and dad being in a "communications" course all weekend. Here are a few new photos of me. A great picture of the "family" after coming back from brunch at Jane's on the Commons. My first brunch outing. I was a good boy and kept quiet the whole time. I got a bit fussy on the way home when the light at the crosswalk wouldn't change. Nanna Stewart got me this new outfit which I think is thumbs up. Auntie Lisa has been pretty cool. She and I hung out last night while Mom and Dad went to a birthday party for another James around the corner. He turned 35! That's so old. Mom and dad are about to have a nap while I am going to help Lisa make some homemade mac 'n' cheese.

Dad is off to St. John tomorrow on business. I am going to miss him, but Mom, Argo and me should have some fun without him around. Maybe he will bring me back a present.

What 'cha gonna do?!?

Here I am doing my Hulk Hogan pose early Tuesday morning. Since I kept Mom up all night, Dad cooked me breakfast and took care of me before he went to work. I had some "milk" and Dad had a coffee and an English muffin. The Public Health Nurse came by again today (they take good care of you here in Nova Scotia) and she is pleased with my development. She said I was nice and strong. I now weigh in at 9 lbs. 8.5 oz. Mom might have to go shopping soon to get me some more duds.

Speaking of duds, check me out in my cool blue "poofy" thing. Not too sure about the look (Note this photo will come back to haunt me at my wedding) but it sure kept me warm during my walk with Mom and Argo. We went to Plant Organic to get some homeopathic remedy for my gas. The nurse said I have tons of gas inside me and the remedy would take the edge off. Not much else to report today other than I helped Mom put her pots away for the winter. I had a good cuddle with Dad when he got home from work. I think we are heading upstairs for a bath and then Mom and Dad are then going to read to me. I have tons of books in my library that I can't wait to read.

My Aunt Lisa arrives tomorrow from Washington, D.C.

BOO-YEAH!

I am busy celebrating winning my Grey Cup bet today! I slept through most of the game but Dad told me the Lions looked pretty impressive. Dad tells me that Grandma Stewart is sending me double my bet ($10). I wanted to buy a bone for Argo and a toy to pimp my stroller, however Dad says I have to put it into the bank. Mom and Dad set up a bank account for me so I can start saving my pennies. I might also use my winnings for a Super Bowl bet with Grandma Stewart.

Had a pretty awesome day as Mom took Argo and me to Point Pleasant Park. It was pretty cool out, but Mom had me nice and bundled up. Argo had a great time as he met his girlfriend Winnie there. I saw a few other strollers there but everyone was sleeping as I passed by.

Dad had a tiring day at work so it looks like we are heading straight to bed with no Monday Night Football. I am going to try and be a good boy so Mom and Dad can have a bit of time to themselves.

J-Mac Out!

Lazy Sunday

Not much to report from Halifax today. From what I hear this is a typical Sunday around here. We wake up and feed Argo and then head back to bed. We give him a quick walk around the block and then Mom and Dad make yummy blueberry pancakes. Well I don't know if they are yummy as I am on the milk, but they sure smelled good. Mom and I hung out this morning while Dad went to the store and walked Argo. I made a Grey Cup bet with my Grandma Stewart. I have the Lions plus the points. Supposedly Dad bets with his Mom every year. No matter what he loses the bet. I also understand from Mom that he never pays up either.

Mom took Argo for another walk this afternoon and I helped Dad make some beeef stew and banana bread. I am about to take a nap and then I am told it will be bath time! Once I am all clean I get to watch the Grey Cup with Dad.

Man Mornings!

Just got back from a walk with Dad and Argo. We had a quick play in the tennis courts at Ardmore Park!We had a bit of a family cuddle in bed this morning and then Dad got the stroller ready. I enjoyed my first Saturday "man morning" with Argo and Dad, but I am starting to miss Mom. Although she is sleeping and catching up on her rest, I think I might go upstairs and see her as I am starting to get hungry.

Pretty exciting night! I slept from 9 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. last night. Dad kept me company as he watched wrestling (don't tell Mom) and a "classic" Grey Cup from 1991 (Argos vs. Stamps - the Candy/Gretzky Team with the Rocket). I was also a good boy and let Mom and Dad enjoy a mini-date night of pizza and wine. Argo and I were quiet for a full hour. It was tough but we managed to do it.

Pretty mild (but grey) day here in Halifax. There is rumour that we might go to the park for a longer walk and then maybe take Argo for a bath! I like baths. I might loan him my rubber ducky! I also have to rest up for the big college football game today - Michigan #2 vs. Ohio State #1. Go Blue!

Super Mom

'Nuff Said.

Fire Down Below

A lot has happened since my last post. I got a diaper rash (which is healing up nicely thanks to sudocreme - if I could buy stocks in the company that makes it I would). I watched the Leaf-Bruins game last night with Dad as he drank a Guiness. It smelled really good. I can't wait for the day I can have one.

Before the game I had another relaxing bath with Mom. After we got all clean, the whole family (including Argo) chilled in my new room. It was the first time we hung out in there. We listend to some relaxing tunes on the iPod and Mom and Dad rocked me to sleep.

I had a pretty stress free day of eating and sleeping. Mom took me to her office for a charity lunch. I am glad she skipped the chili. Dad took me and Argo for a stroll through the neighbourhood in my ride. I can't see much out of it but it was a pretty smooth ride. When we got back from the walk, I slept outside, while Dad and Argo threw the ball. I can't wait until I can play too.

Not much is planned for the weekend. I think Mom and Dad are happy to have a weekend to themsleves and to try to get some sleep. If I am a good boy and the weather cooperates, supposedly I get to have my first walk in Point Pleasant Park.

Dad told me there is also something called the Grey Cup on this weekend. It is supposedly steeped in tradition. Not too sure what to make of it, but Dad says it is basically just chilling on the couch, eating some food, and watching a football game. I am sure I can handle it. Argo is disappointed that his team isn't playing this year. I think I will cheer from the team from B.C. as I got a nice present from the Mingay's who live out west.

Speaking of which, Mom wants me to extend a big thank you to all the thoughtful people who have sent me gifts.

Big Boy

Mom and Dad took me to visit Dr. Robinson this morning and she gave me a clean bill of health. I am now weighing in at 8 lbs. 15 oz. Mom and Dad are relieved that my weight is back up. Dr. R. says I am growing at 71 g per day and the average baby grows at 25 g per day.
I think Mom and Dad aren't surprised considering how much I am eating the past couple of nights. I had a fun bath with Mom in the tub last night. Big brother Argo wanted to jump in with us. He liked my rubber ducky.

I made a quick visit to Dad's office today and met some of his co-workers. I liked them. They called me cute. After that I then went with Mom and Argo for a quick stroll over to Ardmore Park as the sun was shining and Argo was being a good sport all morning so he deserved a play.

Dad spent the afternoon at work, while Mom and I had another couple of appointments with the Public Health Nurse and our Doula Karen. They are trying to help Mom and me with nursing.

I am supposedly a short fuse baby. Mom says I get it from Dad and my Gramps Stewart.

Rubber Ducky!

Mom interrupted Dad and me watching the Leaf-Habs game to have a bath. Dad promised me if we had a bath we could watch football tomorrow. Go Argos!

Big news - Lost my umbilical cord last night. I feel so free. Beautiful day here in Halifax. Mom and Dad took Argo and me for a stroll and we toured the neighbourhood. The bugaboo is such a sweet ride. I slept through the whole walk. I met our cool neighbours on Vienna Street and then met the james family on Dublin.

Lazy Boy

Here I am chilling in my bouncy chair! Can't wait till I try this in the man room with Dad!

Working for the Weekend!

Hard to believe it is the weekend already. Baby Mac has been home (for the second time) since Tuesday. Yesterday he gained another ounce - so he is now tipping the scales at 7 lbs. 14 oz. With some sunshine in the forecast the jaundice should be all cleared up by the end of the weekend.

He had another great night! Since he swicthed to a new bottle he seems to be less gassy. Baby Mac is on a combo of expressed milk and formula.

Mom is doing quite well - although she is not resting during the day.

Argo is being an excellent big brother and can't wait until he can go for another walk with Baby Mac and Mom.

Baby Mac had his first seat in his bouncy chair and loved the vibrations.

Dad is looking forward to being back at home full time after 3 days of work. Plans are for father and son to spend some quality time on the couch watching some football (inbetween household chores).

Grandma Newman and Aunt Linds leave Sunday morning.

Aunt Lisa visits in a week and a half for American Thanksgiving!

Happy Friday.
