The Cabin

When James comes to Fredericton he always has a special breakfast with Grampie at the Cabin Restaurant. A pancake with syrup and a glass of milk is the standing order.

Today James and Grampie decided to invite Will and Mommy. We had a great time and the boys sat for a photo with Grampie after he paid "the really nice lady" at the cash.

Swimming

Will getting ready for a skinny dip.

The boys love their swimming friends that help them float. Crabby is green and Carlos is pink.

James is such a good swimmer this summer. Wait until he hits the Waeg for lessons in mid July.

William just looking cute :-)

We Love Firetrucks!

We are in Fredericton for a visit with Grammie and Grampie and were very excited to find the coolest firetruck ever! Thanks to Alice for picking it up at the school yard sale.

Will picked up his new ride at a yardsale down the street on Saturday. He loves that the horns works and it only cost $1.

Ahhhhhh Nap Time

Will loves his afternoon nap !

Father's Day Run

This morning we all participated in the Father's Day Run to raise money for Prostate Cancer. Dad ran ahead and Mom pushed the boys in the stroller.

Bad news is that Dad hurt his leg and had to stop running for a bit. The good news is that Mom and the boys caught up with him and we crossed the finish line as a family. James got out of the stroller and ran across the line as well.

Here is a photo of the Stewart boys before the race.

Getting their "car" adjusted for the 5 km trip !

2 minutes before the starting horn.

Not only did Jmac wear Mommy's race number, he got out and did a little running.

After lots of water, a few yummy snacks and some stretches, we headed to the car to go home. Look who wanted to drive.

Smokin' Hot Friday

Last Friday was 30 degrees and Mom was off work so it seem liked the perfect day to hit the Waeg for some sand, swimming and fun.

The boys broke out their new swimming trunks and were looking very stylish.

As usual, the sandbox was the first stop. Mommy wanted to go for a swim because it was soooooo hot but the boys could not be convinced of this.

Will decided it was cocktail hour!

Looks like cocktail hour is over and it is time for a swim.

Last Sunday at the Waeg

A week ago, we joined Rich, Barb and Sophie for a play in the Sandbox and then some dinner in the dining room. We love the sandbox and Waeg grilled cheese!

There was a cool breeze coming off the ocean so Will wore his sweater. Worked well until he sat in the "river".

As you can see from these pics, Will's cocktail of choice is apple cider.

Jmac avoided the camera as he was so busy with his "construction" but we managed to sneak him into this one...kinda.

Born to be wild

The Beast has his eyes on borrowing his neighbour Lyla's bike.

Road Rash

A face only a mother could love. Will was so excited to visit Nan's house last weekend, he too a header on the gravel road.

Jmac to the rack!

Jmac seems to have gotten his round ball skills from his Mom. Too bad tonight's Game 7 is waaay past his bed time. Go Celtics!

Out and About

So one of the advantages of Dad's new office building is that it is near a Chapters - which means train table. One rainy day, the boys picked me up at work and we decided to see what the "traffic" would be like at the table. Both James and Will were happy that they had the table to themselves. Talk about a post-work "happy hour".

After Wed night swimming we usually get to have a little play at the library attached to the pool. Jmac is getting everything ready for the puppet show...

While the Beast is spending some time updating his Facebook status.

Watching the detectives

Father and son had a visit to the dentist. We both got a clean check up and new toothbrushes. Dental hygienist Danielle has to get props for letting Jmac "play" with the water dispenser and spittoon while she cleaned Dad's teeth.

Jmac got to put on dark glasses for his check up, and he commented, "now I am a detective."

The Newest Panther

Tuesday night marked the start of Jmac's U4 soccer season. I have become a soccer dad. Despite the massive downpour of rain we set off to Dalhousie's Wickwire Field (lucky Jmac he gets to play on artificial turf grass).

Once we got over the fact that this soccer was outside (vs. his winter session in the gym) we were all excited to go get our jersey to complete our "football kit".

The practice was canceled due to the rain, but we did get our jersey. Someone is happy he is dressed in all black. The rain did let up, long enough for us to have "a little run around."

The line of the night had to be "Dad, mother nature has turned off the rain long enough for me to kick a ball into the net."
